  Machining process of CNC TURNING parts
1. Turning the outer circle  : By cutting along the outer surface of the workpiece with a turning tool, the required diameter of the outer circle is processed.
2.  Inner hole  : By cutting along the inner surface of the workpiece with a turning tool, the required inner hole diameter is machined.
3.  Slotting  : Use a slotting tool to cut out the required groove shapes on the surface of the workpiece, such as annular grooves, rectangular grooves, etc.
4.  Thread processing  : Thread is machined on the surface of the workpiece through a thread turning tool or a thread milling cutter.
5.  Surface Processing  : By controlling the movement trajectory of the turning tool through numerical control programming, complex surface shapes are processed.

Introduction to CNC Turned Parts

THE working principle of the CNC lathe
The working principle of a CNC lathe is that the processing program is input into the control system of the machine tool through the computer control system (CNC). The control system precisely controls the spindle rotation, tool feed and cutting depth of the lathe and other actions according to the program instructions, thereby achieving the turning processing of the workpiece. CNC lathes are usually equipped with a variety of tools, such as turning tools, milling cutters, drills, etc., and can perform various processing operations, such as turning outer circles, inner holes, grooving, thread processing, etc.

 Quality control of CNC turned parts
1.  Dimensional Inspection  : Use high-precision measuring tools (such as micrometers, calipers, three-coordinate measuring machines, etc.) to inspect the dimensions of the processed parts to ensure they meet the design requirements.
2.  Surface Quality Inspection  : Inspect the roughness and appearance quality of the parts' surfaces to ensure they are smooth, free of scratches and defects.
3.  Hardness Testing  : For some parts that require hardness, hardness testing is necessary to ensure that the hardness of the material meets the requirements.
4.  Functional Testing  : For some functional parts, actual functional tests need to be conducted to ensure that the parts can work normally.

Packaging & Shipping

Packaging materials

Small metal stamping parts are commonly made of plastic bags, plastic boxes, etc.

Medium-sized stamping parts, paper boxes or cartons are commonly used, which can provide certain cushioning protection and are environmentally friendly.

Large or heavy stamping parts, pallet packaging can provide better support and protection, facilitating forklift handling.

In special circumstances, metal packaging is used, such as when higher protective strength is required or when moisture-proof and rust-proof requirements are needed.

 

Packaging technology

Bulk packaging: The stamped parts are directly placed into the packaging container, which is suitable for products with regular shapes and not easy to be damaged.

Pallet packaging: Place the stamped parts on pallets and then seal them with plastic film or cartons for easy stacking and transportation.

Tape and reel packaging: For some small stamping parts, such as electronic components, tape or reels are used for packaging to facilitate automated assembly.

Cushioning protection: Add cushioning materials such as foam and sponge inside the package to prevent the stamped parts from being damaged due to collision during transportation.
